Habit scheduling

The habit editor had three separate frequency controls that could contradict each other — set a weekly count in one and specific weekdays in another, and the schedule was ambiguous. They're now a single schedule control. A time picker sets when a habit starts and how long it takes, and numeric habits (push-ups, glasses of water, pages read) let you type the count you hit, including zero.

Home page

Opening Heym used to drop you straight into a list, with no read on the day as a whole. Heym now opens to a home page built around what you're most likely to want first.

At the top, an activity graph shows what you completed across the week. Below it sit today's tasks, today's habits, and your recent notes, with quick actions to create a task, start a Pomodoro, or capture a note in one click. Every widget is optional: turn any of them on or off and rearrange the rest from the settings menu.

Task times

A date tells you which day a task is due, but not when. Tasks can now carry a time as well as a date. Open the task detail, turn on the time, and pick one.

Notes editor

A plain text box is fine for a sentence, less so for structured thinking. The notes editor now works like a proper document editor.

Type / at the start of a line for a menu of blocks: headings, bulleted and numbered lists, checklists, quotes, dividers, code, images, and file attachments. If you'd rather not reach for the menu, Markdown shortcuts do the same — # for a heading, - for a bullet, [] for a checklist, > for a quote. Check off task lists inline as you go. Drag an image or file straight into the text and it embeds where you drop it; every upload is stored privately behind a signed link only you can open.

Notes

Not everything is a task or a goal. Some of it is thinking, journaling, a meeting you want to remember, or an idea that isn't a commitment yet. Heym now has Notes, a place for the writing that doesn't fit a checkbox.

A note can belong to a life area or a goal, or stand on its own, and you can tag it like anything else. The notes list groups by area, goal, or tag so related writing stays together, and trash and restore work the same as everywhere else in Heym. Notes get their own section in the sidebar.

Favourites and Tags

Star any goal, area, or tag and it appears in the sidebar, one click away. A new Tags page collects every tag you've used across tasks, goals, and notes; click a tag to see everything filed under it. What used to be called "labels" is now "tags" throughout.

Habit history

Whether a habit is sticking is hard to see from the last few days alone. Every habit detail page now shows its history across seven time ranges: this week, month, quarter, and year, plus the rolling last 4 weeks, 12 weeks, and 12 months. Each renders as a calendar grid you can tap to check days on or off retroactively.

Habits

Some things you want to keep doing, not finish once. A to-do list is the wrong shape for them: checking "exercise" off on Monday says nothing about Tuesday. Heym now tracks Habits alongside tasks and goals.

Give a habit any schedule: daily, three times a week, every Tuesday and Thursday, or the first of each month. Each day, mark it done, skipped, or failed — three states, because a rest day and a missed day aren't the same thing. Assign a habit to a life area so your morning run sits inside Health and your deep-work block inside Work. Habits get their own tab and page in the sidebar.

Numeric goal tracking

Some goals are a number you're working toward: run 500km this year, read 24 books, save €10,000. A checkbox can't track those, so goals can now measure progress as a number.

Open a goal and set its Progress to a manual target with a unit — kilometres, books, or euros. As you go, log a measurement with the Update button, and Heym adds it to a running total and plots it on a line chart of your progress over time. Edit or delete any past entry and every downstream total recalculates.

Sign-in options

Heym now supports three more ways to sign in. Magic links sign you in with an emailed link instead of a password. Sign in with Apple works if you're already in Apple's ecosystem. Two-factor authentication is optional and works with any authenticator app — turn it on from Settings.
